    Claim Process:

    The claim process of Bajaj Allianz is quick and hassle-free. Here are the steps involved in Bajaj Allianz car insurance claim process:

    • Register your claim request:
      • Get in touch with Bajaj Allianz as soon as the mishap takes place and register your claim request.
      • To register your insurance claim with Bajaj Allianz, you need to call on their toll-free number*: 1800-209-5858, after which you will be guided through the entire claim settlement process via text messages sent to your registered phone number or the customer care executive will take you through the entire process, depending on your convenience.
      • You can also call them on*: 1800-22-5858/1800-102-5858 (toll-free numbers)/020-30305858 (chargeable)
      • Please have the following details ready before you register a claim:
        • Your vehicle’s engine and chassis number
        • Date, time and location of the mishap
        • Details on loss/damage due to the mishap
        • The address of the nearest garage you will take your vehicle to so that an authorised surveyor can be sent to conduct an incident survey

      *You can call the above numbers from Monday to Friday - 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday - 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

    • File an FIR at the nearest police station (in case of theft) and obtain a copy of the same. In case the police are unable to locate your car within 90 days of filing the FIR, request the police to issue a Non-Traceable Report which you will have to submit to the insurer in order for them to start processing your registered claim request.
    • Once they start processing your claim request, you will be provided with a Claim Reference Number by a customer care executive.
    • Get your vehicle repaired:
      • In case of a cashless claim, you can procure the address of the nearest Bajaj Allianz network garage from their official website or you could contact them on 020-66439001/020-66439002/020-66439003 and locate the nearest cashless garage.
      • Take your vehicle or get it towed to the nearest cashless garage for repairs.
      • An authorised surveyor will be sent to the garage to inspect your vehicle and assess the loss/damage. Post the assessment, the surveyor will approve for your vehicle to be repaired.
      • Bajaj Allianz will send you SMS alerts at every step of the claim process, or you can contact the dedicated customer care team on their toll-free number: 1800-209-5858 and get an update on the claim request by quoting the Claim Reference Number.
    • Documents submission:

      You will have to submit the originals as well as copies of all the requested documents to the surveyor/insurer and the garage in charge and get the copies verified against the originals. The documents and other things required to be submitted for the claim process are as follows:

      • In case of Accidents:
        • Insurance policy document /cover note
        • Vehicle’s Registration Certificate
        • Tax Receipt
        • Driving License of the person who was driving the vehicle at the time of mishap
        • FIR filed by you
        • Repairs estimate provided by the garage where the vehicle is to be repaired
        • Repair invoice and payment receipt (reimbursement claim)
        • Claims Discharge and Satisfaction Voucher duly signed over a revenue stamp
      • In case of Theft:
        • Insurance policy document
        • Vehicle’s Registration Certificate
        • Tax Receipt
        • Driving License of the person who was driving the vehicle at the time of mishap
        • FIR filed by you
        • Repairs estimate provided by the garage where the vehicle is to be repaired
        • Repair invoice and payment receipt (reimbursement claim)
        • Claims Discharge and Satisfaction Voucher duly signed over a revenue stamp
        • Details of previous insurance, if any,
        • The sets of keys
        • Vehicle’s Service Booklet
        • Vehicle’s Warranty Card
        • Letter of acknowledgement sent to the RTO intimating the theft of vehicle
        • Form 28, Form 29 and Form 30 duly filled and signed by you and Form 35 duly signed by the Financer
        • Consent from you and Financer towards mutual agreement on the claim settlement value
        • NOC of the Financer in case the claim is to be settled in your favour
        • Updated power of attorney
        • Claim Discharge Voucher duly signed over a revenue stamp
      • In case of Third-party liabilities:
        • Claim form duly filled and signed by you
        • Police FIR
        • Driving license of the person driving at the time of mishap
        • Insurance policy document
        • Registration Certificate of the vehicle
    • Claim Settlement:
      • In case of a cashless claim, the insurer will settle the cost of repairs directly with the network garage after you have paid for the deductibles, depreciation, etc. as informed by the surveyor.
      • In case of reimbursement claim, you will have to cover the complete cost of repairs at the garage and submit the bills and payment receipts to the insurer who will, after verifying the submitted documents, process your reimbursement for the repairs which will exclude the amount for deductibles, depreciation, etc.

    Exclusions of Bajaj Allianz Car Insurance

    The claim process will not be applicable under the following circumstances as your claim will be denied:

    • General wear and tear of the vehicle due to aging
    • Electrical and/or mechanical failures
    • Unless the vehicle is damaged, the wear and tear of the consumables such as tyres and tubes are not considered
    • If a commercial vehicle is used for personal purpose and vice-versa
    • If the person driving the vehicle at the time of mishap is underage or without a valid driving licence
    • If the person is driving the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs
    • Damage/loss as a result of mutiny or war or nuclear risk

    1. Will my policy renewal be affected if I raise a claim?

      If you raise a claim request to cover the loss/damage as the result of a mishap during the insurance tenure, you will lose all the accumulated No Claim Bonuses (NCBs) and won’t have any NCBs left to transfer upon policy renewal.

    2. How long does it take for Bajaj Allianz to process your claim settlement?

      It takes Bajaj Allianz 10-15 days post the submission of all the documents to process your claim settlement depending on the kind of liabilities you have incurred as a result of a mishap.

    3. Can I raise a claim request if the mishap took place outside of the city where the insurance policy was issued?

      The location where the mishap took place is irrelevant, you can raise a claim request regardless of the location by calling the customer care on 1800-209-5858.

    4. What's my liability if someone else is driving at the time of the accident?

      As the insurance is taken for the vehicle which is registered in your name, the liabilities that arise from the mishap involving your vehicle will still be your responsibility regardless of who was driving at the time.

    5. What are the expenses I have to pay for at the time of claim settlement?

      The expenses you have to pay for include cost of depreciation, salvage value, compulsory deductibles, cost of consumables and involuntary excess.
