    Axis Bank FASTag program is launched to facilitate electronic toll collection under the National Toll Collection Project run by NPCI following the NHAI and IHMCL guidelines. The FASTag issued by Axis Bank is interoperable and enables cashless toll payments at more than 360 NHAI authorised toll plazas across National Highways. 

    What is Axis Bank FASTag and how does it work? 

    It is a rechargeable device that employs Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to pay toll fees directly from the prepaid account linked to it. The tag will be attached to the windshield of your vehicle and whenever you drive through the toll plazas on National Highways, the RFID tag readers installed at the plaza will read the tag and electronically deduct the applicable toll fee.  

    The amount will get debited from your FASTag wallet within 3 business days from the day of the transaction at the toll plaza. Once the amount is debited, you will receive an SMS containing all details in your registered mobile number.  

    Features and benefits of Axis Bank FASTag 

    • With Axis Bank FASTag, you don’t have to stop your car at a toll station and wait in long queues for paying the toll charge in cash. 
    • A FASTag from Axis Bank can be availed by both retail and corporate customers for all categories and types of vehicles.  
    • You will be kept updated about all transactions made using the FASTag through instant transaction alerts via SMS on your registered mobile number. 
    • If you reside within 10 km of a toll plaza you can avail concession on toll charges by purchasing an Axis Bank FASTag. You just need to submit your address proof at the POS location of an Axis Bank branch/toll plaza to get this facility. Frequent FASTag users are also eligible to avail this concession. 
    • Axis Bank FASTag comes with a validity of 5 years. In case, it depreciates due to wear and tear or is tampered with, you can request for a replacement tag at an additional cost.  
    • Your FASTag account can be easily recharged online using various recharge options such as net banking, credit card, debit card, e-wallets, UPI, NEFT/ RTGS, etc. 
    • You can obtain periodic statements of your toll transactions and check wallet balance by registering to the Axis Bank FASTag web portal. 
    • One FASTag can be used only for one vehicle.  Hence, if you have two or multiple vehicles you will have to take a separate FASTag for each vehicle.  
    • You can avail monthly pass facility on your FASTag by visiting the POS location of an Axis Bank branch/toll plaza. However, it will be applicable to a specific toll plaza and can’t be used across all toll plazas under NETC.
    • You will get 2.5% cashback for all transactions made through your Axis Bank FASTag at the toll plazas on the National Highways till 31 March 2020. The cashback amount will be paid back in the wallet linked to your FASTag account on a monthly basis. 
    • You can recharge your Axis Bank FASTag account with a minimum amount of Rs.100.  
    • You will recharge your FASTag account with a maximum of Rs.1 lakh if you are a KYC customer and Rs.10,000 if you are a non-KYC customer. However, you can increase the limit to Rs.20,000 per month by upgrading your account to FASTag Lite Plan. 

    How to get an Axis Bank FASTag? 

    Process of applying offline 

    To get an Axis Bank FASTag, you need to get a tag account created. For this, visit any of the Point of Sale (POS) locations at Axis Bank Branches or toll plazas with the original and photocopies of your KYC documents. It is mandatory to drive your vehicle to the POS location, as the FASTag will be fastened to the windshield of your vehicle by a bank representative. You will have to pay a nominal joining fee and one-time security deposit against the tag. After purchase, you will have to regularly recharge/top up it as per your requirement. 

    Documents required 

    • Registration Certificate (RC Book) of the vehicle 
    • Duly filled and signed application form for Axis Bank FASTag 
    • A valid driving license for address proof and ID proof 
    • Passport-size photograph of the vehicle owner/customer  
    • KYC documents of the vehicle owner  
      • Individual customer: PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID card, etc.  
      • Corporate customer: 
        • For a Proprietorship, proprietor’s address proof, PAN card, Shop Act, and other Firm proof are required. 
        • For a partnership/private limited/public limited company, corporate’s PAN card, signing authority's photo ID, names and addresses of directors and partners, and Registration Certificate/Partnership Deed/Certificate of Incorporation of the firm are required. 

    Online application process 

    Here are the steps to apply for an Axis Bank FASTag online through the official portal of Axis Bank: 

    • Visit the official website of Axis Bank at https://www.axisbank.com. 
    • Under ‘Explore Products on the home page, go to ‘FASTag’. 
    • Click on the ‘Apply Now’ tab on the FASTag page. 
    • Provide your mobile number, check the ‘Terms & Conditions’ tab, and click on ‘Submit’. 
    • Enter the OTP sent to your mobile number to authenticate the transaction. 
    • Fill up the application form with your personal, demographic, and vehicle details. 
    • Choose one KYC document from the drop-down list under ‘Document Type’ and provide the document number. Also, upload the RC Book of your vehicle.  
    • Enter the Captcha code appearing on the screen. 
    • When done, click on 'Validate'. Once the transaction is validated, click on 'Proceed to Payment’. Authenticate the payment through your net banking credentials.

    Axis Bank FASTag recharge method

    ETAG recharge through Net Banking  

    1. Go to https://www.axisbank.com/make-payments/recharge/etag-toll-recharge 
    2. Click on ‘Recharge ETAG’. 
    3. Select the operator as ‘Gurgaon Toll’.  
    4. Enter your ETag No and re-enter to confirm.  
    5. Provide your registered mobile number. 
    6. Next, enter the recharge amount. 
    7. Click on ‘Submit’ and authenticate the payment by providing your net banking credentials. 

    *This facility is available only for Noida toll at present. 

    Quick top-up recharge 

    1. Go to https://etc.axisbank.co.in/ETC/Login/# 
    2. Select any one option from your FASTag wallet number, vehicle number, or RFID number. 
    3. Enter the recharge amount 
    4. Click on ‘Submit’ and validate the transaction using your net banking details. 

    Wallet recharge through NEFT/RTGS 

    1. Log in to the Net Banking portal of your desired bank. 
    2. Create beneficiary for other bank transfers/NEFT by using details like name, account number, and IFSC Code - UTIB0000ETC. 
    3. Enter the required recharge amount. 
    4. Next, proceed with the payment. 

    Cash recharge at authorised POS 

    1. Visit any Axis Bank POS centre and request the agent to recharge your tag. 
    2. Provide the FASTag wallet ID or your vehicle number. 
    3. Tell the amount that your account should be recharged with. 
    4. Once the recharge is done, you will receive an SMS with recharge confirmation. 

    Where can an Axis Bank FASTag be used? 

    The tag will work only when your vehicle passes through the ETC lanes defined for FASTag usage at designated toll plazas that are listed under the NETC program. Vehicles without a valid FASTag driving through the FASTag lane will be immediately charged double the applicable toll fee in cash. However, your vehicle affixed with FASTag can pass through any lane at toll plazas by making cash toll payment.

    1. Whom should I report the delay in delivery of my FASTag? 
    2. For reporting a delay in delivery of FASTag, contact the customer helpline number of Axis Bank at 1800 419 8585. 

    3. What to do if the toll collection staff misbehaves with me? 
    4. In case of any misconduct or misbehaviour done by the toll collection staff, you can file your complaint with the concerned Project Director at the specific toll plaza. You can also write an email to etc.nodal@ihmcl.com stating the issue. 

    5. How to block my FASTag account if my FASTag is lost, misplaced, or damaged? 
    6. In the event of FASTag loss or theft, immediately call the customer care number to block the FASTag account. Next, place a request with the bank to issue a new tag. Once the new tag account is created, the balance in the old tag account will be transferred to the new account. 

    7. How to upgrade my FASTag Lite account to a FASTag account? 
    8. You can upgrade your FASTag Lite Account by opening a savings/current account with Axis Bank. 

    9. How to activate the auto-debit facility in my FASTag wallet? 
    10. Link your FASTag Wallet to your existing Axis Bank savings or current account and set up auto-debit instructions. Whenever your balance runs low (usually Rs.1,000), funds will be auto-debited from the linked account and transferred to your FASTag wallet. 

    11. What to do in case of any incorrect deduction made from my FASTag? 
    12. Any incorrect deduction from your FASTag account can be reported to the customer care center of Axis Bank. If your request is found to be genuine, the deduction will be reverted to your account. 

    13. What will happen if there is insufficient fund in my FASTag account? 
    14. Your vehicle will be stopped at the toll plaza and you will have to pay the toll fee in cash. 

    15. Can I use my FASTag if I am moving to a new city? 
    16. Your FASTag will work at all toll plazas listed under the NETC program. However, it is important to inform your bank about the change in your address and location.
