It is crucial for every individual in Kerala to hold a four wheeeler driving licence to use a four-wheeler as per the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. Learner’s license offline process:

• Visit an RTO nearby.
• Collect the application form.
• Fill in the form, attach the relevant documents, and submit it at the RTO.
• Pay the fees applicable for application of the learner’s licence as well as the learner’s licence test.
• Book a slot for the test to be taken on a convenient date.
• Appear for the test and clear the test to obtain the learner’s licence.

• Find ‘Licence’ under ‘Apply Online’ on the right-hand side of the website. Click on it to be redirected to another page.
• Then, click on ‘Apply Online’ next to ‘New Learner’s Licence’.
• On clicking on ‘Apply Online’, a new web page will open. Read the instructions and click on ‘Apply Now’.
• Fill up the application form and click on ‘Next’.
• In the next step, upload the necessary documents including the signature and recent photograph.

The learner’s licence is valid for a period of 6 months. A person can use this period to hone his/her driving skills so that he/she can clear the practical driving test with flying colours.
