If you own a vehicle and want to drive it on the roads under the jurisdiction of the Rajasthan Transport Department, then you must get your vehicle registered with one of the Regional Transport Offices (RTO) in a district of Rajasthan. According to The Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, it is mandatory for all the vehicle owners to get their vehicles registered with an RTO. There are various other functions that an RTO has to carry out. Apart from registering vehicles, they also issue driving license, learner’s license, issuing Registration Certificate (RC) etc.
You will have to visit the nearest RTO in a district of Rajasthan to get your vehicle registered. Along with Form 20, you will have to furnish other relevant documents which will be verified by an official in the RTO. You will have to pay a sum of money as the registration fee. Once your documents are verified and the official is satisfied that all the details provided by you are correct, the RTO will send you your RC via post to your residential address.

Thus, as a vehicle owner, you must ensure that your vehicle is registered before you can ride or drive it on an Indian road. You can also visit your nearest RTO for services such as applying for a driving license, getting a learner’s license if you are still learning how to drive a car, renewing your driving license, etc. You must always ensure that all the documents submitted by you are correct. Once you submit the documents, an RTO official will verify them. Once the authorities are satisfied that the documents furnished by you are authentic, they will send you your RC via post to your communication address.
