    To be eligible to purchase the Exide Life Prospering Life Plus - a Unit Linked Insurance Plan, the individuals must be of a minimum age, and the maximum entry age, and the age at maturity must also be adhered to.     Plan Coverage - What Exide Life Prospering Life Plus-Unit Linked Insurance Plan covers

    Following are the benefits offered by Exide Life Prospering Life Plus – a Unit Linked Insurance Plan:

    Death Benefit In case of the unfortunate event of death, the sum assured will be 105% of the premiums paid or, the entire fund value will be paid.
    Maturity Benefit
    • You can either get the fund value equal to the day of maturity as a lump sum.
    • You can get a part of the fund value as on the day of the maturity together and a part in installments of equal amounts over 5 years.
    Surrender Benefit In case you surrender the policy during the first 5 years of buying it, the following will be applicable:
    • The life cover on the policy will get over on the date of surrender.
    • The fund that is discontinued will earn a minimum return that will be on the terms that are prescribed by the IRDAI at regular points of time. The current rate of interest prescribed by the IRDAI is 4% p.a.

     

    Other Key Features of Exide Life Prospering Life Plus-Unit Linked Insurance Plan:

    • Free look period: From the date of receipt of the policy document, you are given 15 days to review the terms and conditions of the policy. If you have any objection to the terms and conditions, you have the option to return the policy. You will receive refund of the premium paid after certain deductions. The Free Look Period is 30 days for policies that are purchased through Distance Marketing.
    • Grace period: If you have failed to pay the premium on the due date, Exide Life Insurance offers you a grace period of 30 days to pay the premium due without interest. If the premium is not paid within the grace period, your policy will lapse.
    • Policy Lapse: If you have failed to pay the premium within the grace period, your policy will lapse and all benefits under this policy will cease until it is reinstated or revived. If at the least 1 full year’s premium is paid and less than 3 full years’ premiums are paid then you will receive life cover which is equal to Surrender Value. A lapsed policy will not be a participant of the participatory fund.
    • Reduced Paid-Up: If minimum 3 full years’ premiums have been paid and further premiums are unpaid, the policy will attain Reduced Paid-Up status, provided the policy hasn’t been surrendered. This status will remain until the policy is revived or reinstated. During the Reduced Paid-Up status, the life cover will decrease. Once the Reduced Paid-Up benefit is paid, the policy will cease.
    • Top-up Premium: In case you want to increase your savings, you can use top-up premiums to invest in funds that have been chosen by you in the policy. You can do this without buying a new policy for yourself. The minimum top-up premium amount is Rs.6,000 at one go.
    • Limited Pay Option: You can opt to pay for a certain number of years while the benefits of the policy will last for the complete tenure of the policy. Or, you can opt to pay the premium for the entire tenure of the policy through a regular payment option.
    • Policy notifications: You can receive policy-related notifications via email or SMS alerts on your registered mobile number.
