The company was formed in a joint venture between the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Co-Operative (IFFCO) and Tokio Marine and Nichido Fire Group.     Health Insurance Plans offered by IFFCO-Tokio General Insurance

    IFFCO-Tokio General Insurance offers various health insurance plans as part of its product portfolio in order to cater to the varied medical insurance needs of its customers across the country. Some of the health insurance covers offered by IFFCO-Tokio are the Family Health Protector Policy, Individual Health Protector Policy, Individual Medishield Policy, Personal Accident Insurance Policy, Critical Illness Insurance Policy, etc.

    The medical insurance plans offered by the insurer provide enhanced protection to policyholders against various medical expenses. Many of these policies cover daycare surgeries, health check-ups, vaccination expenses, inpatient hospitalisation expenses, pre and post-hospitalisation charges, room rent expenses, etc. Further, these policies also offer tax benefits under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

    IFFCO-Tokio Health Insurance Premium Payment Channels

    Customers of IFFCO-Tokio can pay their premiums in a hassle-free manner through the insurer’s official website or through certain offline channels. The various online premium payment channels that are offered by IFFCO-Tokio are listed below:

    • Online Premium Payment: Select health insurance policies can be purchased through the insurer’s official website by paying the due premium amount online. If you are purchasing a new health insurance cover, you will first need to navigate to the insurer’s official website and hover your mouse over the “Health Insurance” option at the top of the homepage. You will then be able to view a list of insurance policies. If you hover your mouse over a particular health insurance policy, you will be able to see if it can be purchased online. To purchase a particular policy, you will need to navigate to the respective page by clicking on the “Buy Now” option. You will then have to key-in certain details into the online application form, upload the necessary documents, and calculate your policy premium. Post this, you will be able to pay the due premium amount and purchase the policy.

    If you wish to pay your renewal premium, you will need to navigate to the insurer’s website and click on the “Renew Now” tab on the homepage. You will then be redirected to another webpage where you will need to choose the name of your insurance product and key-in your current policy number. Post this, you will be able to pay the renewal premium and complete the renewal process.

    For new and renewal policies, customers will be able to pay the due premium amount via credit card (MasterCard, Visa, and American Express), debit card, internet banking, and online wallets.

    • Mobile Portal: Policyholders can also choose to pay the renewal premium through the insurer’s mobile-optimised portal with their credit card, debit card, mobile wallets, or through internet banking.

    The online premium payment channels offered by the insurer are extremely secure. However, if you are not comfortable paying your premium online, you can pay the due amount through offline channels, as well. Policyholders can choose to pay their premium via cheque, cash, or demand draft directly at an IFFCO-Tokio branch. Further, policyholders can also pay the premium by sending a demand draft or cheque via post to the insurer. IFFCO-Tokio also offers a Drop-Box payment option to policyholders who would like to pay their premiums offline. Thus, policyholders can pay their health insurance premium through either online or offline channel, based on whichever payment mode is most convenient for them.
