IFFCO-Tokio car insurance claim process involves the following steps:

    • Report the incident to the insurer as soon as it happens and register your claim request. You can raise either a cashless claim or a reimbursement claim request.
    • Once the insurer registers your claim, the insurer will provide you with a claim form.
    • You have to submit the duly filled claim form to the insurer along with the loss estimate.
    • The insurer will arrange for an authorised surveyor to perform a vehicle inspection in order to assess the damages/losses incurred.
    • You will have to provide the requested documents to the surveyor or insurer.
    • In case of a cashless claim, you have to take your car to a cashless garage nearby to get it repaired. Once the repairs are done, the insurer will settle the bills with the garage directly after which your car will be delivered.
    • In case of a reimbursement claim, you will have to take your car to the nearest garage for repairs. Once your car is repaired, you will have to settle the cost for repairs and collect the payment receipt and bills for the same. Submit these bills and invoice to the insurer in order to reimburse your expense on repairs.
