    Category I

    The payment of claims under Category I is subject to the condition that the policyholder survives more than 30 days from diagnosis of any of the below mentioned critical conditions:

    • Major organ transplant
    • Bone marrow transplant
    • Multiple Sclerosis with persisting symptoms
    • Burns of third degree nature
    • Aorta graft surgery

    Category II

    The payment of claims under Category I is subject to the condition that the policyholder survives more than 30 days from diagnosis of any of the below mentioned critical conditions:

    • Open heart surgery
    • Coma (of specified severity)
    • Permanent paralysis of limbs
    • Complete blindness
    • Kidney failure requiring regular dialysis

    Exclusions - What the Reliance General Critical Illness Insurance Policy does not include?

    • All pre existing diseases and injuries when the policy cover incepts for the first time.
    • Critical illnesses contracted within 3 months from the date of commencement of policy (the exclusion is not applicable during renewals).
    • Diseases which are not certified by a registered medical practitioner
    • Diseases arising out of congenital disorders (whether internal or external)
    • Critical illnesses that can be attributed to alcohol or drug abuse
    • Sex change surgery, cosmetic surgery, and/or treatments for complications arising due to the aforementioned surgeries
    • Critical illnesses due to HIV or AIDS
    • Critical illnesses arising due to self-harm or attempted suicide
    • Critical illnesses contracted due to war or warlike activities
