    1. Sahara Accidental Death Benefit Rider:

      This rider gives the family of the life assured an additional level of protection if any unprecedented event occurs. The coverage provided by the rider includes financial assistance offered to the life assured's family if he/she faces death by violent, external, and accidental means.

      Benefits and Features of Sahara Accidental Death Benefit Rider

      1. Rider Benefit - In case the life assured dies within 180 days from the occurrence of an accident, and this is proven to the insurance company’s satisfaction, then the rider sum assured is paid to the nominee.
        1. Premium payments - Premiums can be paid towards the plan as single payments or at regular intervals. When the premiums are paid in regular mode, the premium payment term is less than the policy term.
        2. Sum assured - The minimum sum assured under the plan is Rs.50,000 and the maximum value is the lower of:
          1. The sum assured under the base policy, or
          2. Rs.20 lakh
        3. Policy term - The policy term is the same as that of the base policy to which the rider is attached, subject to a maximum maturity age of 65 years.

      This rider offers protection to the family of the life assured in the unprecedented event of accidental death or total and permanent disability of the life assured. Several disabilities are included in the coverage of the plan.

    Benefits and Features of Sahara Accident Benefit & Accidental Total & Permanent Disability Benefit Rider

      1. Rider benefit - Provided that the policy is in force and the life assured meets with an accident:
        1. If the life assured succumbs to death within 180 days of accidental injury, an amount equal to the rider cover is paid to the nominee. The maximum limit for this amount is Rs.20 lakh.
        2. If the life assured is totally and permanently disabled within 180 days of accidental injury, 10% of the rider sum assured is paid to the nominee on an annual basis for 5 years. The remaining 50% of the rider cover is paid out at the end of 5 years. Once the insurer approves the disability claim, the premium for the disability benefit will cease. When the claim for the ATPD benefit is paid out, the rider terminates while the base policy continues as usual.
      2. Total and Permanent Disability - Total and Permanent Disability includes any type of disability that results from an accident. The life assured would be permanently and totally unable to earn any income from the accident date through any occupation. The conditions that are included under this disability are:
        1. Incapacity to use both hands at the wrist or above.
        2. Inability to use both feet at the ankle or above.
        3. Incapacity to use one foot at or above the ankle and one hand at or above the wrist.
        4. Complete and permanent loss of eyesight.
