Importance of Driving Licence in Telangana
A few key benefits of having a driving licence are as follows:
Authorises You to Operate Motor Vehicles: The main purpose of a driving licence is to authorise the driving licence holder to operate a particular type of motor vehicle. Thus, if you are a two-wheeler driving licence holder, your licence, essentially, authorises you to ride two-wheelers in the country.
Serves as ID proof: In addition to identifying the driving licence holder as an authorised driver/rider, a driving licence also serves as one’s proof of identity. Thus, you can use your Indian driving licence as ID proof when boarding flights, for banking purposes, etc.
Allows Officials to Identify You: If anything untimely were to happen like a car crash or an accident, having your driving licence with you can help the authorities identify you quickly and contact your dependents without delay.
Helps you Apply for an International Driving Permit: If you have an Indian driving licence, you can easily apply for an international driving permit, also known as international driving licence. With an international driving licence, you can rent a motor vehicle and operate during your stay in that particular country.
