    Mahindra two wheeler insurance:

Every bike or scooter needs a two wheeler insurance as it is compulsory by law and a safe option for the riders. You should never own an insurance because it is mandatory and not having one can cost you penalty. It is for your safety and security if you ever happen to be in an accident or cause third-party damage or vehicle damage.

It will save you from spending money from your own pocket during repairs or legal liability arising out of third-party situation. It will also provide protection through personal accident and the insurance company will take care of the medical expenses for the treatment. You can either opt for annual term or long-term policy when you purchase the insurance. Both the options are available for third-party or liability cover and Comprehensive policy.

Third-party as known already covers only third-party injuries, damages, permanent disabilities, property damage caused to him/her by you. This does not provide any protection to you or the bike. A comprehensive policy on the other hand provides protection for accident, personal accident, natural calamities, man-made calamities, vehicle damage, etc. The exclusion from this policy are as follows

    • General wear-and-tear over the time
    • Riding without a valid license
    • Mechanical breakdown
    • Electrical failure or breakdown
    • Riding while intoxicated with drugs and alcohol
    • Depreciation of the vehicle
    • Consequential loss
    • Claim arising out of a contractual liability
    • Damage to vehicle due to war, uprisings, and nuclear risks
    • Damage to tubes and tyres
    • Expired policy
    • Utilising personal vehicle for commercial purpose

There are a number of optional covers you can choose which will widen the protection capacity of the bike and adds more value to your basic policy.
