    The Government of India introduced the Indian Road Rules also known as the ‘Rules of the Road Regulation’ in July 1989. The idea behind the introduction of this rule was to make the Indian roads safer for not only the people who drive their vehicles but also the non-transport commuters as well. The rules over a period of time have become strict and any person who has violated these rules are penalised and fined as per the level of offence committed. It is important that as a citizen of India, you be aware of the penalties and punishment that you will have to serve in case of any violation of the rules.
